2nd South Carolina Regiment order book, 1777

This order book, believed to have been written by either Isaac DuBose or Samuel DuBose, records events of the 2nd South Carolina Continental Regiment of Foot, commanded by Colonel Motte, from January 15 to November 22, 1777. The full parchment binding is dirty, worn, abraded, water stained, and pest damaged. The spine and back cover are missing and the front cover is detached. The pages have surface dirt, embedded grime, tears, losses, creases, and water damage throughout. Treatment will include surface cleaning pages to reduce surface dirt, mending pages as necessary, rebinding, and digitization.
